How do I ship a package that needs to be refrigerated?

It is recommended to contact your shipping company of choice to discuss your product and what requirements you have for transportation. The shipping company will be able to offer you advice on how they will ensure the goods are kept at a regulated temperature in transit.

You can also use items such as gel packs, cold packs, box liners or insulated packaging (such as foam, bubble wrap, or foil for example) to keep your goods cool and in good condition.

Can I print onto boxes that are for Refrigerated Goods?

You certainly can, however, you will need to be mindful of the printing method that you choose to print onto your cartons, as each printing method is different and has different benefits and disadvantages.

For Digital Print, we do not recommend using this method of print for cartons that will be going into a cool room or freezer. The reason for this is due to the method; the ink sits on top of the cartons cardboard (like an ink-jet printer) and thus the ink will run if the carton is exposed to moisture.

We recommend using Flexographic, Lithographic or Topographic print, as the ink does not have the risk of running when exposed to moisture.
